I was checked in at midnight on Easter. I had starting having contractions early in the evening and was in denial that it was real labor until I couldn't hardly sit through a contraction without clenching at anything around me and almost crying...I was nearly 5 cm dilated by the time I got to the hospital.
I was told I wouldn't be able to eat once I got to the hospital and then to my surprise, they brought me breakfast. =)
